I haven't been using my DAZ Studio very much over the past year or so.  I recently reinstalled it on my computer, since I had wiped my computer a couple of months ago and hadn't reinstalled it since then.  I'm doing a lot of playing around with the new Genesis 2 figure.  It's a pretty nice figure on it's own, but I really feel I need to get some content from the DAZ Marketplace to enable me to be able to create more awesome art.  One of the things I'm really impressed with on Genesis 2 is the expanded movement areas.  I can now select the breasts individually and move them as I need to in order to get a proper look for how the character is positioned.  Before, with Genesis, I believe there was an extra morph pack I would have had to buy to be able to do that.

Anyway, to the point of the "Kickstart my Art" headline here.  Since I'm very very poor, I'm thinking about making a few sample renders in DAZ Studio with free content, and then starting a Kickstarter campaign to raise money so I can purchase additional content to use in future artistic renders.  I'm not sure if it would go over well.  But that's what the sample renders are for, to show people what I can do with absolutely free content.  For contributors, I would offer a number of free prints and/or commissions, depending upon the level at which they were to contribute.  They could choose their free print from any piece of work that I currently have, or hold onto it for any future piece of work.  I'd probably also limit the size of the prints.  So, what do you people think?  Does that sound like a good idea?

Another thing I just realized I'm curious about.  I have Autodesk 3ds Max 2014 now, and I was curious as to how I could create 3D props in that software, and then make them work as objects in my DAZ Studio.  That's something I'm going to have to look into in the future.  I think I might be able to create some nifty environmental features in 3ds Max and make great looking, original scenes to use in DAZ Studio! :)

Well, thanks for reading.  It's early morning here, and I have to go get ready for work now.  Ta ta.

I enjoy my Daz3D as well as I am sure you can tell, lol. Good luck with the classes. I too was in college for game art design, multi media, 3d art design.
